thankful: twenty-one

tomorrow is the first day of my new job! the whole story leading up to this is a funny one. out of a dozen jobs applied for, this is the ONLY one that called me back (and they even called the same day!) the interview went incredibly well; it all felt very natural. the only thing that worried me was the fact it's only 20 hours a week. but i kept hearing Him say, "trust me." so, when they called exactly one week after the interview (almost to the hour!) to offer me the position, i of course said yes.

after spending the better part of a year and a half in Africa, i'm now preparing to work again on U.S. soil. what a strange feeling. and a good one. and exciting. i am one thousand percent sure this is where God wants me, so i can't wait to see what He does in this time!

so today, i'm thankful for new starts and new seasons. i am thankful for possibilities and anticipation--even for the nervous, butterlflies-in-my-stomach feeling i get before embarking into newness. i'm thankful that, as i trust Him to lead me in His ways, He is faithful to guide me to the path of His choosing. and there's simply no better place to be.
