thankful: twenty-two

today i am thankful for my mom. period. we've had our ups and downs but, when it comes right down to it, i am thankful for everything about her. i can go to her with anything and for anything, and she will do whatever she can to help (case in point: today! she's exhausted and spending her last precious moments with my Papa, yet she still ran out to send me some money so i could get new glasses. how grateful i am!) she is strong, so much stronger than she even realizes. she's smart and encouraging and always wants only the best for her children. she learns from her mistakes. she's independent and hardworking. she tells it like it is and urges all us kids to simply be ourselves. i love that about her. heck, i just love her. thank you, God, for giving her to me.
