thankful: twelve

spring is here. that, of course, means warmer weather, sunshine, flowers--all that good stuff. spring is exciting because it is a symbol of new. the air is filled with hope and anticipation.

i've been thinking a lot about this today, and i've realized that i,too, am entering into the spring season. i've been home for several weeks now, and though i've had to readjust and deal with many, many changes, it's been good. new does bring hope and excitement. and that's where i find myself today.

so, God, i thank you for spring, for another season here on earth but also in my heart. i thank you that you are the one who truly does make all things new, that you love me enough to not leave me the same. thank you that you are bringing good things, new things, and that you are bringing life in every sense of the word. make me ready to receive all that you have in this new season. help me to have courage to leave behind the old and embrace what you are giving in its place in this time.
