thankful: six

today, i had lunch with one of the sweet women from my church. we enjoyed sandwiches and coffee and great conversation, and then she asked me if i wanted to take a walk. so off we went, braving the brisk wind, to get a little bit of exercise and enjoy some time outdoors. it was beautiful.

today, then, i am thankful for the wonder of His creation that i get to experience every single day. thank you, Lord, for sunshine and clouds, both blue and gray skies, for trees and rivers and chipmunks and trails and birds. thank you for your majesty and glory that is so evident in all you have created. forgive me for times i have taken it for granted, and continue to open my eyes to the beauty that's all around me.
