thankful: four

i'm just going to be honest: i love music. no, i don't play an instrument of any kind, nor do i sing (well). but there's something about turning a song up loud, closing my eyes, and singing along that brings me such freedom and happiness. it doesn't matter what it is (well, except country). if it has rhythm and decent lyrics, chances are pretty good that i'll like it.

so today, God, i thank you for music. i thank you that you, the great Creator, have given people the ability to create as well. thank you that i experience you in music; whether i'm singing you a worship song or just rocking out to some awesome guitar or a great drum beat, you're still there. thank you for using music to invoke emotion, that you have given us these hearts that can feel and cry and be encouraged and affected by a mere song. it shows me that you are infinitely innovative and can use anything to speak to your children.
