thankful: twenty-eight and twenty-nine

here are a few from yesterday and today's list:

encouraging texts from dear friends; the sound of my godson singing; incredible pastors who also happen to be incredible friends; conversations with a fellow missionary who, like me, has struggled returning from the mission field; antibiotic drops for my eye (it's finally getting better! thank you, Jesus!); how good i feel after a trip to the gym; a chance to put my nerd powers to work and edit a friend's book; making plans for a day in Philly next week before i get to see John Mark McMillan live!; scriptures that come alive; a chance to still do youth ministry in a job that i love--even if it is only part time! i'm still thankful!; grapes; re-reading old journals and marveling at how far God has brought me.
