'A thrill of hope; the weary world rejoices.'

One of my very favorite Christmas songs of all time is O Holy Night. During my porch time this morning, I listened to Natalie Grant's version about ten times consecutively--and each time, it moved me to tears. It's not just any old Christmas carol; it's a poem of wonder and worship, a lyrical glimpse into the beauty and nature of my sweet Jesus.

It's my prayer that, as you reflect on the Savior's birth this Christmas season, you too will be moved by the mystery of Christ. May all within you praise His holy name.

O holy night! The stars are brightly shining.

It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth.

Long lay the world in sin and error pining,

'
Til He appear'd and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope; the weary world rejoices,

For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

Fall on your knees! O hear the angels' voices!

O night divine, O night when Christ was born;

O night divine, O night, O night Divine....

Truly He taught us to love one another;

His law is love and His gospel is peace.

Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother.

And in His name all oppression shall cease.

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,

Let all within us praise His holy name.

Christ is the Lord! O praise His Name forever,

His power and glory evermore proclaim.

His power and glory evermore proclaim.
